NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

ON PROPOSED AMENDED LOCAL LAW

 

                PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that there has been introduced before the Town Board of the Town of Marion on August 10, 2026, to Amend Local Law # 1-1988 which, if approved, will establish new Regulations for Flood Damage Prevention in the Town.

                PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that pursuant to Section 20 of the Municipal Home Rule Law, a Public Hearing will be held on the proposed Local Law by the Town Board of the Town of Marion on September 14th, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. at the Marion Court Room located at 3827 N. Main Street, Marion, New York, at which time all interested persons shall be heard.

                PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the Town Board will accept written comments or questions from the public concerning the adoption of said Local Law sent to the Town Clerk by e-mail at hlevan@townofmarionny.com.  Any such written comments or questions must be received in this manner by the Town on or before Noon on August September 11 and, if timely received, such written comments or questions will be read into the Minutes of the Public Hearing.

                Copies of the proposed Local Law are available for review at the Town Clerk’s Office at 3823 N. Main Street, Marion, New York during regular business hours.
