Resolution # 1 Authorization to Create the Position of Recreation Leader

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board authorizes the creation of the position of Recreation Leader which is a recognized Wayne County Human Resources; and. 

 

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to Wayne County Human Resources and the Principal Account Clerk.

 

Resolution #2 Amend Resolution #302-2026 Authorize Hiring Matthew Wilder for the Position of Part-time Parks & Recreation Director to Part-time Recreation Leader

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board authorizes hiring Matthew Wilder of E. Townline Road, Williamson, NY for the position of Parks & Recreation Leader at a renumeration of $15,000 per Town of Marion budget for 2026 to be expensed from account # 73101.01.0.261; and. 

 

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to Matthew Wilder and the Principal Account Clerk.

 

Resolution #3 Authorize 2026 Inter-Municipal Agreement with Marion Central School District-Tax Collection

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board authorizes the Supervisor to sign the 2026 Inter-Municipal Agreement with Marion Central School District – Tax Collection; and

 

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to the Marion Central School District and Principal Account Clerk.

 

 

Resolution #4 Authorize Hiring Cameron Miller for 2026 Seasonal Lawn Care/Maintenance at the Marion Cemetery

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board authorizes Cameron Miller for 2026 seasonal Lawn Care/Maintenance for the Marion Cemetery remuneration of $16/hour to be appropriated from account 88101.01.000.255; and

 

BE IT RESOLVED, the start day will be Tuesday, August 24th,  through October 1st ; and

 

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to Cameron Miller and the Principal Account Clerk.

 

Resolution #5 Authorize Speed Limit Survey for Skinner Road

WHEREAS, the Marion Town Board has received a request for a speed limit survey on Skinner  Road from two residents; now

 

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to petition the Wayne County Highway Department and the New York State Department of Transportation to conduct a speed limit survey of Skinner Rd; and

 

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to send a copy of this resolution to Wayne County Highway Department, NYS Department of Transportation and Marion Highway Department

 

Resolution #6 Authorize Speed Limit Survey for Hall Center, Gildersleeve and Arbor Roads.

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to petition the Wayne County Highway Department and the New York State Department of Transportation to conduct a speed limit survey of Hall Center, Gildersleeve and Arbor Roads; and

Resolution #7 Deferred Compensation Committee Resolution  

to Amend and Restate the Model Plan

WHEREAS, the New York State Deferred Compensation Board (the "Board"), pursuant to  Section 5 of the New York State Finance Law ("Section 5") and the Regulations of the New York  State Deferred Compensation Board (the "Regulations"), has promulgated the Plan Document of  the Deferred Compensation Plan for Employees of Town of Marion, NY (the "Model  Plan") and offers the Model Plan for adoption by local employers; 

 

WHEREAS, Town of Marion, NY, pursuant to Section 5 and the Regulations, has adopted and currently administers the Model Plan known as the Deferred Compensation Plan for  Employees of Town of Marion, NY; 

 

     WHEREAS, effective August 24, 2026, the Board amended the Model Plan to adopt  provisions 

•    Including optional Model Plan provisions in Schedule A such as the permittance of Roth  Contributions, In-Plan Rollovers to a Roth Account, and Model Plan loans. 

•   Including optional Model Plan provisions in Schedule B related to the Setting Community Up  for Retirement Enhancement (SECURE) Act of 2019, the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and  Economic Security (CARES) Act of 2020, and the Setting Community Up for Retirement  Enhancement 2.0 (SECURE 2.0) Act of 2022. 

 

 WHEREAS, the Board has offered for adoption the amended and restated Model  Plan to each Model Plan sponsored by a local employer in accordance with the Regulations; and 

 

  WHEREAS, upon due deliberation, Town of Marion, NY has concluded that it is prudent and appropriate to amend the Deferred Compensation Plan for Employees of  Town of Marion, NY by adopting the amended Model Plan. 

 

 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Town of Marion hereby amends the Deferred  

Compensation Plan for Employees of Town of Marion, NY by adopting the amended  

 

Model Plan effective August 24, 2026, including the optional provisions in Schedules A and B, in 

the form attached hereto as Exhibits A and B. 

 

        IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the undersigned have executed this Resolution in Marion, New York this 24th day of August 2026 and directed that it be filed as appropriate.

Resolution #8 Authorize Budget Amendment

 

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board authorizes a budget amendment to appropriate $2,500 from fund balance for money received in 2025 from NYSERDA; and

 

BE IT RESOLVED, that an additional $450 to be expensed from the 2026 budget using account #16204.01.0.042; and

 

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to the Principal Account Clerk.

 

 

Resolution #9 Authorize Hiring Titus Electric for NYSERDA Grant

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board authorizes the Supervisor to Hire Titus Electric not to exceed $2,950 to complete lighting work for the Town of Marion NYSERDA Grant; and

 

BE IT RESOLVED, that this payment will be taken from account # 16204.01.0.042 utilizing the NYSERDA Grant;

 

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to the NYSERDA and Principal Account Clerk.

 

Resolution #10  Payment of Claims
