TOWN BOARD MEETING MINUTES

Marion Court Room

A Town Board meeting of the Town of Marion, Wayne County, NY was held on

Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at the Marion Town Court Room.

 

Supervisor, Mike Cramer called the meeting to order at 6:30pm and asked the Clerk of the Board to give a roll call.

 

PRESENT:     Julie Herman, Councilwoman

                           Mary Johnson, Councilwoman

                           Ronald Lonneville, Councilman

                         Margi Taber, Councilwoman

                           Michael Cramer, Supervisor       

 

ABSENT:      

 

Others in Attendance: Marcia Lonneville; Nancy Spinning; Tracy Whitney, Library Director; John Lonneville; Nick Lucci; Theresa Kuhn; Holly Bovet; Casey Carpenter, Times of Wayne County Reporter

Supervisor Cramer asked everyone to stand and give the Pledge of Allegiance

 

Acknowledgements:         Highway Staff – Cemetery maintenance

                                                Highway Superintendent – Hanging Flowers and blockade for parade

                                                                American Legion – Memorial Day Parade

                                                Economic Development – Small Businesses

                                                Thank you Nick Lucci for painting garbage cans

1.      Authorize Supervisor to Sign Wayne County Mowing Contract for 2026

3.      Award contract to PJL Contracting and Vindex S&E, LLC for 2026 JCap grant.

 

Resolution #5092026 Authorize Supervisor to Sign Wayne County Mowing Contract for 2026

 

On a motion by Councilman Lonneville and seconded by Councilwoman Herman

 

ADOPTED:  Ayes: 5   Herman, Lonneville, Johnson, Taber, Cramer

     

                     Nays:  0

 

The following resolution was approved.

 

 

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board authorizes the Supervisor to sign the attached 2026 contract with Wayne County Public Works – Mowing; and

 

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to the County of Wayne, Marion Highway Superintendent, and Principal Account Clerk.

 

Resolution #5102026 Payment of Claims

 

On a motion by Councilman Lonneville and seconded by Councilwoman Taber

 

ADOPTED:  Ayes: 5   Herman, Lonneville, Johnson, Taber, Cramer

     

                     Nays:  0

 

The following resolution was approved.

 

WHEREAS, the Marion Town Board has received and audited the following claims; now

 

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Supervisor is hereby authorized to pay said claims upon receipt of the signed abstracts of audited claims from the Town Clerk.

Resolution #5112026 Award contracts to PJL Contracting and Vindex S&E, LLC for 2026 JCap grant

 

On a motion by Councilwoman Herman and seconded by Councilman Lonneville

 

ADOPTED:  Ayes: 5   Herman, Lonneville, Johnson, Taber, Cramer

     

                     Nays:  0

 

The following resolution was approved.

 

 

WHEAREAS, the Town of Marion sent out an RFP to obtain bids to upgrade the Marion Court Room; and

WHEREAS, the Town of Marion received 2 bids to complete this work; and

 

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board awards contracts to both PJL Contracting and Vindex S &E, LLC not to exceed $10,493.54 to be paid by the JCAP Grant and expensed out of account # 169204.01.0.042; and

 

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to PJL Contracting, Vindex S&E, LLC, and Principal Account Clerk.

With no further business, on a motion by Councilwoman Herman and seconded by Councilman Lonneville, Supervisor Cramer closed the meeting at 7:18pm.
