Resolution #1 Accept Town Board Meetings Minutes for September 8th, 14th, 21st, and 28th, 2026

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board accepts the September 8th, 14th, 21st, and 28th  , 2026 Town Board meeting minutes.

 

Resolution #2 Authorization to Schedule Public Hearing to Spend Cemetery Reserve Funds for New Riding Lawn Mower

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board held a public hearing on Monday, October 26th at 6:30pm to spend Cemetery Reserve Funds; and

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town of Marion is utilizing a NYS Contract to purchase a 2027 John Deere riding lawn mower not to exceed $5,000 to be used in the Marion Cemetery; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED The Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to the Principal Account Clerk.

 

Resolution #3 Authorize Town of Marion Supervisor to sign the 2027 Youth Development Grant

BE IT RESOLVED, The Board of the Town of Marion authorizes the Marion Town Supervisor to sign the 2027 Youth Development Grant that was awarded to the Town of Marion;

 

BE IT RESOLVED, that this grant is to be used for the 2027 Summer Recreation program in the amount of $39,700; and


WHEREAS, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a certified copy of this resolution to the Wayne County Aging and Youth, Town Supervisor and the Principal Account Clerk

 

Resolution #4 Authorize the Town of Marion to Accept Request for Proposals for Mowing Abandon Cemeteries in the Town of Marion for 2027

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board will start accepting request for proposals to mow abandon cemeteries in the Town of Marion for 2027; and

BE IT RESOLVED, that all Request for Proposals must be received by November 4th at 4pm in the Marion Town Clerk’s Office in a sealed envelope; and

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to the Principal Account Clerk.

Resolution #5 Authorize the Town of Marion to Accept Request for Proposals for Landscape and Maintenance of Main Street in the Town of Marion for 2027

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board will start accepting Request for proposals to landscape and maintenance of Main Street in the Town of Marion for 2027; and

BE IT RESOLVED, that all Request for Proposals must be received by November 4th at 4pm in the Marion Town Clerk’s Office in a sealed envelope; and

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to the Principal Account Clerk.

 

Resolution #6 Authorize to Advertise for the Position of Summer Soccer Coordinator for 2027

BE IT RESOLVED, the Marion Town Board authorizes the Clerk of the Board to advertise the position of 2027 Summer Soccer Coordinator at the rate of $ 2,745 for the 2027 year; and

 

BE IT RESOLVED, that applications will be accepted until the position is filled; and

 

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board of the Town of Marion authorizes the Clerk to the Board to give a copy of this resolution to the Principal Account Clerk.

 

Resolution #7 Authorize to Advertise for the Position of Summer Recreation Director for 2027

BE IT RESOLVED, the Marion Town Board authorizes the Clerk of the Board to advertise the position of 2027 Summer Recreation Director at the rate of $ 7,763 for the 2027 year; and

 

BE IT RESOLVED, that this applicant must be qualified by NYS Department of Health before being hired; and

 

BE IT RESOLVED, that applications will be accepted until the position is filled; and

 

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board of the Town of Marion authorizes the Clerk to the Board to give a copy of this resolution to the Principal Account Clerk.

 

 

Resolution #8 Authorize Purchasing Mulch from Wayside Garden Center for the Marion Town Park Playgrounds

WHEREAS, the Marion Town Board received three quotes from three different vendors; and

 

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board authorizes the purchase of mulch from the lowest bidder, Wayside Garden Center Landscape for the amount not to exceed $6,800 to be taken from account # 85404.10.0.174; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to the Principal Account Clerk

 

Resolution #9 Authorization Deposit of Funds Received for Town Park Bathroom Damage Restitution.

WHEREAS, the Town of Marion authorizes the Principal Account Clerk to deposit funds         received for the Town Park bathroom damages restitution into the Park Reserve Fund account # 230.01 in the amount of $200; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town Board authorizes the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to the Principal Account Clerk.
