LEGAL NOTICE

TOWN OF MARION

2026 TAX COLLECTION

 

NOTICE IS HERBY GIVEN to the taxable residents of the Town of Marion, Wayne County, New York, that the undersigned Town Clerk/Tax Collector of said Town has received the tax roll and warrant for the collection of taxes for 2026 and that same can be paid by mail or at the Town Clerk’s Office, 3823 North Main Street, PO Box 260, Marion, New York 14505, during the following business hours:

 

Monday 9am to 6pm, Tuesday – Thursday 9am – 4pm, Friday 8am – 1pm.

 

Taxes may be paid on or before February 2, 2026 without penalty.  Beginning on February 3, 2026 through March 2, 2026, a 1% penalty will be charged.  Beginning on March 3, 2026 through March 31, 2026 a 2% penalty will be charged.  Pursuant to provisions of the law, the tax roll of the Town of Marion will be returned to the Wayne County Treasurer on April 1, 2026.  Installments are available if the first payment is made by February 2, 2026.

 

FURTHER NOTICE IS GIVEN THAT for all taxes not paid prior to March 2, 2026, a second tax notice will be sent to all unpaid taxable residents of the Town of Marion.  The charge for the second mailing will be $2.00 per parcel and will be added to the tax dollar amount to be collected.

 

FURTHER NOTICE IS GIVEN THAT there will be a $20.00 charge for all returned checks.
