Resolution #1 Authorize Closing of Streets within the Hamlet for Marion Bicentennial Festival

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board hereby requests the following streets to be fully closed to all traffic on Saturday, August 1, 2026 from 8a.m. – 4 p.m.
North Main Street from Park Drive to South Main Street, South Main Street from North Main Street to Mill Street; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to send a copy of this resolution to E911, Marion Fire Department, Western Wayne Ambulance, Marion Fire District, Seneca Foods, Marion Post Office, Wayne County Highway Department, Wayne County Sheriff, NYS Police Substation, Williamson, Local businesses, Chief Operator WWTP, Nutall – Brad Person, Marion Highway Department, Marion School District and Marion Bus
Resolution #2 Authorize Closing of Streets within the Hamlet for Marion Holiday Parade

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board hereby requests the following streets to be fully closed to all traffic on Saturday, December 19th, 2026 from 5:45pm – 7pm. The following streets will be open to local parade only. North Main Street from Park Drive to South Main Street, South Main Street from North Main Street to Mill Street, Newark-Marion/Mill Street from Smith Road to South Main Street; and

Resolution #3 Amend Resolution # 304-2026 Authorize Appointing Roy Franks to the Marion Planning Board as Alternate

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board authorizes appointing Roy Franks of Ball Rd. Marion, NY to the Marion Planning Board as alternate for a term of office starting March 10, 2026 through December 31, 2032; and
BE IT RESOLVED, that the stipend for the position is $45 per meeting and $40 per workshop for 2026 to be expensed from account # 80201.01.0.110; and
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to Roy Franks and the Principal Account Clerk.
Resolution #4 Authorize Deputy Town Clerk to Attend NYSTCA conference 2026, in Albany, New York

WHEREAS, the New York State Town Clerks Association Conference 2026 will be conducted in Albany, New York on April 19th – 22nd 2026; and
BE IT RESOLVED, that Deputy Town Clerk Caylin Stappenbeck received a scholarship to attend the NYSTCA Conference; and
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board authorizes Caylin Stappenbeck, Town of Marion Town Deputy Clerk, to attend above mentioned 2026 conference; and
THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the expenses incurred for registration, travel, lodging and meals will be paid by the Town of Marion and be appropriated from Account #14104.01.0.016 at a cost not to exceed the budgeted amount; and
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a passed copy of this resolution to Heidi Levan, Town Clerk and Principal the Account Clerk.
Resolution #5 Adopt New Job Descriptions for Summer Recreation Director, Basketball Coordinator, Baseball Coordinator, Soccer Coordinator and Night Park Supervisor.

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board adopts the new job descriptions for the following recreation positions
Summer Recreation Director
Basketball Coordinator
Baseball Coordinator
Soccer Coordinator
Night Park Supervisor; and
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to Parks & Recreation Director, and all positions listed above and the Principal Account Clerk.
Resolution #6 Accept Proposal by Bovet Lawn Garden & Landscaping Outdoor Services for 2026

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board accepts the proposal from Bovet Lawn Garden & Landscaping Service to include the following:
1. Pruning and Clean-Up of 7 Bradford Pear trees on Main Street $520.00
2. Repair, replace as needed brick/brick chips below trees $305.00
3. Monthly clean-up of Town walks (blow off / spray round-up) $510.00
4. Clean-up 2 “Marion planters” and 1 “Marion sign” $585.00
Total $1,920.00
Not to exceed $1,920.00 for 2026 to be expensed out of 85104.01.000.000; and
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to: Bovet Lawn Garden and Landscaping and Principal Account Clerk.
Resolution #7 Accept Proposal by Bovet Lawn Garden & Landscaping for Rural Cemetery Maintenance Services for 2026

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board accepts the proposal from Bovet Lawn Garden & Landscaping for rural cemetery maintenance services to include the following:
1. Corner of Route 21 & Electronic Parkway
6 mowing and string trimming $630.00
2. Corner of Goosen Road & Hall Center Road
6 mowing and string trimming $1,200.00
3. North Main Street
6 mowing and string trimming $1,200.00
Total $3,030.00
Not to exceed $3,030.00 for 2026 to be expensed out of 88104.01.000.000; and
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to: Bovet Lawn Garden and Landscaping and Principal Account Clerk.
