Resolution #1 Adopt Amended Town of Marion Employee Handbook

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board adopts the amended Town of Marion Employee Handbook for non-union employee with amended vacation time, scheduled holidays and health insurance; and
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town of Marion will now pay the following for health insurance. Single plans will be paid 100% and 2 person or family plans the Town of Marion will be 85%; and
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to all non-union employees and Principal Account Clerk.
Resolution #2 Authorization to Amend Resolution #7032024 Town of Marion Hiring Policy

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board adopts the amended Town of Marion Hiring Policy; and
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to all Department Heads and Principal Account Clerk.
Resolution #3 Authorize Highway Superintendent to Attend Advocacy Day 2026, in Albany, New York

WHEREAS, the Advocacy Day Grass Roots Campaign 2026 will be conducted at the Albany Hilton Hotel in Albany, New York on March 3rd and 4th, 2026; and
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board authorizes Steven Taber, Town of Marion Highway Superintendent, to attend above mentioned Advocacy Day Grass Roots Campaign 2026; and
THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the expenses incurred for registration, travel, lodging and meals will be paid by the Town of Marion and be appropriated from Account #50104.01.000.016 at a cost not to exceed the budgeted amount; and
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a passed copy of this resolution to Steven Taber, Highway Superintendent and Principal the Account Clerk.
Resolution #4 Authorize Highway Superintendent to Attend 2026 School for Highway Superintendents

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board Authorizes Highway Superintendent to attend 2025 School for Highway Superintendents.
WHEREAS, the 81st Annual School for Highway Superintendents will be conducted at Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York on June 1-3, 2026.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board authorizes Steven Taber, Town of Marion Highway Superintendent, to attend above mentioned School for Highway Superintendents; and
THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the expenses incurred for registration, travel, lodging and meals will be paid by the Town of Marion and be appropriated from Account #A50104.01.000.016 at a cost not to exceed the budgeted amount.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a passed copy of this resolution to Steven Taber, Highway Superintendent and the Account Clerk.
Resolution #5 Authorize Highway Superintendent to Attend the 97th Annual New York State Association of Town Superintendents of Highway Conference

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board authorizes Timothy A. Boerman, Highway Superintendent, to attend the 97th Annual New York State Association of Town Superintendents of Highways Conference to be conducted at the Saratoga Hilton, Saratoga Springs, New York, on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 through Friday, October 2, 2026; and
BE IT RESOLVED, that expenses incurred for registration, travel, lodging and meals be paid by the Town of Marion from Account #50104.01.000.016 at a cost not to exceed budgeted amount; and
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to Timothy A. Boerman, Highway Superintendent and the Principal Account Clerk.

Resolution #7 Agreement to Spend Highway Funds 2026

WHEREAS, Steven Taber, Highway Superintendent, has prepared an Agreement to Spend Highway Funds for 2026; now
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board accepts and approves the attached Agreement to Spend Highway Funds for 2026 and authorizes all members of the Town Board and Town Highway Superintendent to sign said agreement in duplicate and then forward such agreement to the County Superintendent of Highways for his signature; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to the Highway Superintendent, County Superintendent of Highways and Principal Account Clerk.

Resolution #9 Authorization to Set a Public Hearing to use Highway Reserve Funds for Highway Truck Repair

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board sets a public hearing to utilize Highway Reserve Funds to be used for repairs to the Town of Marion Ford F350 truck;
BE IT RESOLVED, that the public hearing is scheduled for Monday, February 23, 2026 at 6:30pm in the Marion Court Room located at 3827 N. Main St. Marion, NY at which time any person for or against will be allowed to speak; and
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to the Highway Superintendent and Principal Account Clerk.
Resolution #10 Authorization to Set a Public Hearing to Amend the Code for the Town of Marion

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board sets a public hearing to amend the General Code for the Town of Marion; and
BE IT RESOLVED, that the amendments to the Code include new size regulations for driveways section 245-15D and 308-47, Schedule 1: Zoning Schedule of Land Use or Activity; and
BE IT RESOLVED, that the public hearing is scheduled for Monday, February 23, 2026 at 6:30pm in the Marion Court Room located at 3827 N. Main St. Marion, NY at which time any person for or against will be allowed to speak; and
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to the Highway Superintendent and Principal Account Clerk.
Resolution #11 Authorize Post Office to use Town of Marion Logo

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board authorizes the Post Office to use the Town of Marion bicentennial logo to create a pictorial postmark to commemorate the Town of Marion bicentennial; and
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to the Marion Post Office.
Resolution #12 Authorize Supervisor to Sign Letter of Support for the Marion Fire Department Grant Application

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board authorizes the Supervisor to sign a letter of support for the Volunteer Fire Infrastructure & Response Equipment grant funding; and
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to the Supervisor and the Marion Fire Department Secretary, Yvonne English.
