 Resolution #1 Authorize Closing of Streets within the Hamlet for Marion Memorial Day Parade

 BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board hereby requests the following streets to be fully closed to all traffic on Monday, May 25, 2026 from 10:45a.m. – 12 p.m. The following streets will be open to local parade only.

North Main Street from Park Drive to South Main Street, South Main Street from North Main Street to Mill Street, Newark-Marion/Mill Street from Smith Road to South Main Street; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to send a copy of this resolution to E911, Marion Fire Department, Western Wayne Ambulance, Marion Fire District, Seneca Foods, Marion Post Office, Wayne County Highway Department, Wayne County Sheriff, NYS Police Substation, Williamson, Local businesses, Chief Operator WWTP, Nutall – Brad Person, Marion Highway Department, Marion School District and Marion Bus

Resolution #2 Accept Resignation of Daniel Sargent from the Town of Marion Zoning Board

 WHEREAS, Daniel Sargent has submitted his resignation as the alternative for the Town of Marion Zoning Board effective February 1, 2026; now

 BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board regretfully accepts the resignation of Daniel Sargent effective February 1, 2026; and

 BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to Daniel Sargent, Zoning Board Chairman and the Principal Account Clerk.

Resolution #3 Authorize Advertising for a Marion Zoning Board Alternate

 BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board authorizes the Clerk of the Board to advertise for a part-time Marion Zoning Board Alternate; and

 BE IT RESOLVED, the Marion Town Clerk’s Office will accept applications until filled; and

 BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution Adrienne Compton-Planning Board to the Principal Account Clerk.

 Resolution #4 Authorize Hiring Justin Minier for the Position of 2026 Baseball/Softball Coordinator

 BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board authorizes hiring Justin Minier for the position of Baseball/Softball Coordinator for the 2026 Baseball/Softball program at a renumeration of $3,000 per Town of Marion budget for 2026 to be expensed from account # 73101.01.0.192; and. 

 BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to Justin Minier and the Principal Account Clerk.

 Resolution #5 Authorize Hiring Sarah Griffin for the Position of 2026 Soccer Coordinator

 BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board authorizes hiring Sarah Griffin for the position of Soccer Coordinator for the 2026 Soccer program at a renumeration of $2,652 per Town of Marion budget for 2026 to be expensed from account # 73101.01.0.191; and. 

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to Sarah Griffin and the Principal Account Clerk.

 Resolution #6 Authorize Hiring Morgan Silco for the Position of 2026 Summer Recreation Director

 BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board authorizes hiring Morgan Silco for the position of summer recreation director for the 2026 summer recreation program at a renumeration of $7,500 to be stipend for the length of the summer program for 2026 to be expensed from account # 73101.01.0.083; and. 

 BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to Morgan Silco and the Principal Account Clerk.

 Resolution #7 Authorize Town Clerk to Attend NYSTCA conference 2026, in Albany, New York

 WHEREAS, the New York State Town Clerks Association Conference 2026 will be conducted at  in Albany, New York on April 19th – 22nd 2026; and

 THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board authorizes Heidi Levan, Town of Marion Town Clerk, to attend above mentioned 2026 conference; and

THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the expenses incurred for registration, travel, lodging and meals will be paid by the Town of Marion and be appropriated from Account #14104.01.0.016 at a cost not to exceed the budgeted amount; and

 AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a passed copy of this resolution to Heidi Levan, Town Clerk and Principal the Account Clerk.

 Resolution #8 Authorize Town Highway to use of Highway Reserve funds for F350 Truck Repair

 BE IT RESOLVED, the Marion Town Board authorizes the Town Highway Superintendent to use Highway reserve funds to repair Highway F350 Truck; and

BE IT RESOLVED, that a public hearing was held on Monday, February 23, 2026 at 6:30pm in the Marion Court Room located at 3827 North Main Street, Marion, NY and;

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to the Principal Account Clerk and Highway Superintendent Steven Taber.

Resolution #9 Authorize Local Law #1-2026 Amend Town of Marion Codes

 BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board met and held a Public Hearing on Monday, February 23, 2026 at 6:30pm in the Marion Court Room to amend the Town of Marion Code to include new size regulations for driveways section 245-15D and 308-47 Schedule 1: Schedule for Land use or activity; and

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board authorizes the adding Local Law #1-2026, Amend the Town of Marion Code for the above sections; and

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to the Zoniing Board and Principal Account Clerk.
