Resolution #1 Resignation of Part time Employment of Code Enforcement Officer

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board accepts the resignation of the part time employment of Town Code Enforcement Officer, Daren Arrington effective Tuesday, April 14, 2026; and

 

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to Principal Account Clerk.

 

Resolution #2 Authorize Advertising for a Full time Code Enforcement Officer

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board authorizes the Clerk of the Board to advertise for the position of full time Code Enforcement Officer in the legal newspaper for the Town of Marion; and

 

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to Principal Account Clerk.

 

Resolution #3 Authorize Rescinding Retirement Resolutions

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board authorizes the Clerk of the Board to rescind resolution # 402-2026 and resolution # 403-2026 both from the April 13, 2026 meeting; and

 

BE IT RESOLVED, the rescinding of these resolutions is on a recommendation from the Marion Town Attorney; and

 

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to Principal Account Clerk.

 

Resolution #4 Adopt New Job Night Park Supervisor Job Description which includes Parks & Recreation Escalation Matrix and Workflow.

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board adopts the new job descriptions for the following Night Park Supervisor with Parks & Recreation Escalation Matrix Workflow; and

 

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to Parks & Recreation Director, and all recreation positions and the Principal Account

 

Resolution #5 Authorize Town Board to send an RFP for Town Signage

WHEREAS, the Marion Town Board authorizes the Town to send a Request For Proposal for 15 new Town Signs; and

 

BE IT RESOLVED, the Town Board request all completed RFP’s to be sent into the Town of Marion by June 1, 2026 with work to be completed in 2027; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to the Principal Account Clerk.

 

Resolution #6 Authorize Hiring Marco Davila for 2026 Night Park Supervisor

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board authorizes hiring Marco Davila for Night Park Supervisor for the 2026 recreation season and;

 

BE IT RESOLVED that the salary for this position is $2,652 for the year to be paid bi-weekly appropriated from account 73101.01.0.082; and

 

BE IT RESOLVED, the cemetery will be open May 9, 2026 through August 31, 2026 ; and

 

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to Marco Davila and the Principal Account Clerk.

 

Resolution #7 Close Financial Books for Marion Sewer Fund

WHEREAS, Wayne County Water and Sewer Authority took over the operation of the Town of

Marion Sewer Plant; and

 

BE IT RESOLVED, the Town of Marion has closed the financials for 2025; and

 

BE IT RESOLVED, the remaining sewer operation funds for 2025 in the amount of $52,435.58

should be turned over to Wayne County Water and Sewer Authority; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the Town Board of Marion gives the Principal Account Clerk

permission to cut a check in the amount of $52,435.58 to be expensed out of 81304.07.000.042;

a budget amendment increasing the expense line is necessary; and

 

BE IT RESOLVED that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a

copy of this resolution to WCWSA and the Principal Account Clerk

 

 

Resolution #8 Payment of Claims

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Supervisor is hereby authorized to pay said claims upon receipt of the signed abstracts of audited claims from the Town Clerk.
